All of the restaurants were embedded within the casino area, which meant they were also full of smoke. I would not have let them go to the kids zone in those conditions. We decided not to bring our kids last-minute, which I was very grateful for. There was only an open hallway separating the casino from the kids zone, so that reeked like cigarette smoke as well. There was an ashtray everywhere we looked, including by every elevator in the hotel and within the 'non-smoking' hotel lobby. I felt like we were breathing a plume of smoke anytime we stepped out of our room. This facility is beautiful and I really wanted to like it, but just couldn't because of all the cigarette smoke. It was a smoking casino, but their website said the hotel lobby was smoke-free and there was a kids area, so I assumed that would be smoke-free as well.
We booked late and this was the closest clean, reasonably priced hotel I could find at the time of booking. My husband and I were in the area for a half-ironman triathlon in St.
